DO I NEED A WEDDING PLANNER?

‘Budget’ and ‘Memories’ - are the first two words a couple thinks of when planning their wedding. Often, making unforgettable memories through good decor, food and entertain within a budget can be challenging.

Memories are your expectations and budget is reality. You always want your expectations to be as close to reality as possible, and that is the single most important reason why you need to hire a Wedding Planner. A planner who knows vendors and will negotiate on your behalf to get the best value for your money, who knows the latest trends and most importantly saves you time and effort in planning a stress-free wedding in a world where we all are busy with our careers and that finding enough time could be a novelty.

Hiring a wedding planner was once  a luxury but the trend is slowly shifting. Saving unnecessary, unseen costs are one of the most important aspects of wedding planning and you want someone by your side, every step of the way.

I'M CREATIVE AND KNOW EXACTLY HOW I WANT MY WEDDING TO BE. DO I STILL NEED A WEDDING PLANNER?

It is true, brides can be very creative. Now-a-days, there is plenty of information and ideas to refer to on the web. Being creative and mining ideas is one aspect of planning, but being able to properly execute those ideas is a different ball game.

A good wedding planner will take your imaginative ideas and vision of how you want your wedding to be, and make it happen, in most cases better than you expected. Which means that your planner now shops around finding the best product or service that fits your budget, and that you don't need to worry about the deliverables making it on time. A wedding planner’s job is to do all the heavy-lifting. After all, every newly engaged deserves to be  stress-free when the special day arrives.

CAN YOU WORK WITHIN OUR BUDGET?

Every couple is unique and every wedding is planned differently. No two weddings will be alike which means no two budgets will ever be the same. Budgeting comes naturally to a few, and it's one of the most valuable skills a planner possesses.

With my expertise, we are not just going to work within a planned budget but also make sure we are focusing the budget on what matters the most.

I encourage every couple to decide on a budget they find comfortable and from there on I work towards creating and conceptualizing a wedding that perfectly fit that goal.

WHAT MAKES YOUR SERVICE DIFFERENT FROM OTHER PLANNERS?

All wedding planners are capable and talented in their own way.

Planning a successful wedding is not always about checklists and timelines. It’s about being able to leave an impression that lingers even after the occasion ends. I have been a wedding planner all my career, and through my experience, for a couple and their guests, reminiscing memories mean more than anything. It doesn’t take an extravagant wedding to be successful, but creating simple, personal and emotional moments that create memories for a life time. To me, that is what it means to plan a wedding. Today, if my clients remember me during their anniversary, I would consider that I have been successful at what I stand for.

SHOULD I HAVE MY FRIEND OR FAMILY MEMBER HELP ME PLAN AND COORDINATE MY WEDDING?

Unless your friend or family member is a wedding planner by profession, I strongly suggest that family and friends be kept away from responsibility. Planning a wedding includes calculated timelines, multitasking, vendor & guest management, troubleshooting skills and more. You do not want your friend or family to take all that weight on their shoulders. Inexperience in the field of planning can result in a small glitch or major error that can affect the aesthetic or flow of the wedding. Furthermore, your friend or family is mostly likely going to be distracted in the celebration, increasing the chance of missing out on important details that can result in a major setback.

HOW EARLY SHOULD COUPLES START TO PLAN THEIR WEDDING OR HIRE A PLANNER?

A wedding can be planned a year, a few months or even a month ahead. If I were you, I would start from the day I get engaged.

You may rely on various online tools to track the 'next step' but working with a planner from the beginning and relying on their experience can give your planning process a good head start in the right direction and can leave you feeling a lot less overwhelmed closer to the wedding date.

Outlining the decisions in the right order and at the right time can sometimes eliminate the chances of making expensive mistakes.
